The mission of the Chicago Shorts Festival is to present a venue for collaboration and to foster community between college students while also providing them a forum to tell a story and have their voices heard through film. The Festival is an opportunity for students to be recognized and awarded for their outstanding work. It is open to all college and university students worldwide, regardless of country, major or school they attend. It is free to enter and free to attend.
Entries into the 2016 Chicago Shorts Festival are currently being accepted online through March 15, 2016. Entries will be judges by a panel of industry professionals. Top scoring films will be screened on April 27, 2016 at the Gene Siskel Film Center located at 164 North State Street, Chicago, IL. The event is FREE and open to the public.
